Coconut oil is a great natural moisturiser. It contains emollient properties which help fill in the gaps between your skin cells, helping to create a smooth surface. The natural fatty acids occurring in coconut oil help sooth and reduce redness. I normally put some on my hands just before I go to bed or after a long soak in the bath.
Citrus Salt or Sugar Body Scrub
Another easy product you could make from home is a D.I.Y body scrub. Our bodies can become extremely dry almost overnight. This is caused when the body is stripped of all its natural oils, which leads to dryness. Common causes are showers, baths and heat. The following recipe is ideally best to include in your morning shower routine or after home work outs to help combat dry skin, energise you and prepare you for the day ahead. Here is a simple body scrub recipe...

- 1/2 Cup of Olive Oil Teaspoon of Oatmeal
- 1 Teaspoon of Citrus Zest (Grapefruit, Orange, Lemon or Lime)
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl then rub into skin whilst in the shower (Avoid contact with eyes) and then rinse off. You're ready for the day again, if you are unable to make it yourself here is a lovely body scrub alternative....
