Introducing the Small Business Saturday Edit | This year, SBS undoubtedly carries more importance in light of the pandemic. Support from all directions is essential to sustaining the future of small businesses in one way, or another. We ourselves understand how important support is and that’s why this year we’re putting the spotlight on 20 wonderful small businesses who we think you’ll love as much as we do!. @nubianrockchick | A close friend to AWP, Cassie has developed a wonderfully unique approach to Illustrations, all of which showcase beautiful women to make you smile, be inspired and stay motivated. Cassie accepts commissions and is an all-round lovely person (and has envious at-home style). See more here



3. Carla Llanos Illustrations




@carlallanosillustrations | Born in Chile, Carla has proven to be one of the standout digital designers of 2020, amassing a huge following and deservedly so. Carla spends her time creating digital designs and turning them into works of art, including abstract prints, t-shirts and mobile phone cases. The perfect line of gifts for anyone passionate about homewares. See more here



4. Cedar Lifestyle




@cedarlifestyle | Cedar Candles produce candles and diffusers for the home. Their products are all about simplicity, and this ethos is reflected in both their elegant designs and ingredients. 5. Kin Home




@kin.home | Based in Moseley, Birmingham, Kin is an independent store curating the most stylish handmade homewares, furniture, lighting and lifestyle items. Having had to close their store in both lockdowns, Kin have once again opened their doors and look forward to welcoming you back! See more here

7. Hub Shop

@hubshop_online | On my doorstep and stockist of AWP nail polishes, Hub is an independent womenswear store based in Stoke Newington, London. Their collections have been curated to offer a wide-range of the most sought after items. A must-see if in the north London area (also check out their web shop). See more here

@young.double | Young Double is a small batch printing brand, who since 2013 have created handmade prints using eco friendly inks and non toxic dyes. Their range of garments are ethically sourced and made for both adults and children. See more here

@cissywears | A little biased with this one (My big sis) Cissy Wears is an independent store with a curated edit of beautiful & sustainable brands for kids & home. With lockdown 2 over you can once again visit the store in Coal’s Drop Yard (King’s Cross, London) and their newest store in Covent Garden to discover a multitude of ethical gifts for kids & the home. 10. Indy Sunglasses

@indy_sunglasses | Indy launched I.N.D.Y when she was 22 from her bedroom floor in 2017. Indie moved the brand over to Brooklyn, NY where she began selling across the U.S. Incredibly, Indy to this day still runs the business on her own. See more here

12. Maya Njie Perfumes




@maya.njie.perfumes | I first came across Maya Njie Perfumes earlier this year whilst collaborating on a competition. This beautiful niche perfume brand has a clear focus on high quality artisanal blends and the scents are deeply rooted in Maya's Swedish and West African culture. Scents include - Patchouli, Vetiver & Pulpy Fig. See more here

@wowsancho | Recently nominated for ‘High Street Shop Of 2020’ the wonderful team at Wow have curated a wonderful selection of ethically sourced products. Their Instagram account has a massive personality, where they spread a plethora of positive messages. (A must follow). See more here

@mwmakes | Architect, designer & maker Michelle is a very gifted leather craftsman, who designs and crafts everyday accessories in an array of beautiful colours. I particularly love her simple, yet intriguing mouse mats and bookmarks. See more here

@beiige_store | Working alongside artisans in Ghana, Beiige Store offer a collection of unique rattan furniture for the home. Founder and owner Rachelle is super lovely and their products are not to be missed. See more here



17. Join Handcrafted




@joinhandcrafted | Based in Cornwall, Join are an award winning small business, crafting vegan, sustainable home+body potions. Owner Jen has become a good friend over the years and the scents are just as unique as she is. See more here



18. Tracy Dixon Ceramics




@tracydixon.ceramics | Super ceramicist Tracy was one of the first names on my list of small business to give a shout out to. Her abstract approach to her ceramic designs is incredible and they always sell out very fast. Tracy also has a wonderful eye for exhibiting her products with one of my favourite Instagram accounts to regularly check out. See more here

@grainandknot | Sophie Sellu uses reclaimed timber as the basis of her wonderful assortment of hand carved objects. Recently nominated in the modern crafter awards, Grain and Knot is a true testament to hard work and traditional craftsmanship. See more here



20. The Eed Store

@theedestore | Eed have become one of my favourite small business in 2020. End is a skincare and wellness project with a mission to give aromatherapy an identity in the modern age. I love the simplicity of the packaging and can’t wait to try out their array of handmade skincare products. See more here
